Reviewing my weekly schedule has provided valuable insights into how I can better manage my time as a working nurse while pursuing my BSN degree. I have realized that I need to be more intentional about carving out dedicated study time, especially on my days off from nursing shifts. Moving forward, I plan to wake up an hour earlier on weekends to get focused study time before family activities begin. I will also designate Thursday evenings from 7-9pm each week for completing assignments without distractions. Additionally, to maximize my limited time, I will start using my work commutes and lunch breaks more productively by reviewing notes. On workdays, I will also schedule short 30-minute "power study" sessions right after my shifts end, while I'm still in a focused work mindset. Moreover, I have also realized I need to be more proactive about planning ahead, so I will use Sunday evenings to map out the upcoming week and prepare my study materials. Lastly, to make sure I stay on track, I will start using a productivity app to log my study hours and set reminders for important due dates. By implementing these changes and being more strategic about using small pockets of time throughout my week, I believe I can better balance my nursing career, academic goals, and personal life. Consistency and advance planning will be key to my success. |
