Course Description The objective of this course is to provide a foundational knowledge on basic principles and applications of physical chemistry. The following topics will be covered: chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, and thermodynamics. Additional topics will include applications of physical chemistry principles towards chemical and biological systems including enzymatic reactions; time-dependent chemical and nuclear reactions; electrochemistry; and equilibria related to acids, bases, buffers, and solubility.
