SOLUTION to XA3005: Collaboration as Ethical Influencers and Scholars Competency Discussion
Hello All,
Collaboration in nursing is vital as it brings together diverse healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. The benefits of collaboration include improving communication, checking holism in health issues, and helping formulate comprehensive patient care plans. While practicing in interdisciplinary teams with other health care professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, nurses not only receive and give information, ideas, and perspectives but also make more accurate diagnoses, implement better treatment strategies, and produce better outcomes of treatments.
Collaborative strategies positively impact quality care by fostering a culture of teamwork, reducing errors, and enhancing patient safety. Collaborative working facilitates the sharing of information, thus enabling identifying and addressing risks at the initial stages (Buljac-Samardzic et al., 2020). Furthermore, it fosters the co-creation of systematic improvement and advancements in healthcare organizations and methods to provide optimal care.
I might use social media to promote quality care in several ways. For instance, I could post links and articles about evidence-based practices and health education on social sites like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to raise awareness among the audience and healthcare workers. This could include new and emerging evidence, what patients and families need to know about managing specific diseases, or what people can do to avoid falling ill in the first place. By participating in various forums and posting relevant material regarding treatment popular among patients and their families, I can ensure that more people remain informed.
Additionally, social media can be used to advocate for policy changes and public health initiatives. For example, I might join or coordinate online initiatives to reduce health inequities or increase mental health care. Social media may assist healthcare professionals and community stakeholders in advocating for these issues and transforming healthcare delivery (Jeyaraman et al., 2023). Moreover, social media allows providers to directly interact with patients, answer their concerns, and provide support, building community and trust, which is vital for great treatment.
