Description: This course introduces the student to organizational dynamics and the complex structures of the U.S. health care system. Students consider social, historical, and political influences that have shaped the modern health system and examine the mechanisms that enable access, delivery, and financing of health services. This course also considers the ever-growing global perspective of health care as students explore the health perspectives of varied racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic groups.
