SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Overview
For this Performance Task Assessment, you will complete a two-part assessment. In Part 1, you will complete the Workplace Violence Prevention for Nurses CDC course to earn continuing education credits. You must complete all 13 units.
In Part 2, you will construct a reflection paper detailing the following:
- What is the impact of incivility and workplace violence in healthcare?
- How will you utilize the continuing education earned in the certification courses to prevent workplace violence?

Instructions
To complete this Assessment, do the following:
- Be sure to adhere to the indicated assignment length.
- Complete all 13 units of the CDC course.
- Access the CDC course, Workplace Violence Prevention for Nurses.
- Select Start Course
- Select New Visitors, Click to Begin to start course
- Read all content on each page of the units, navigate to the next unit by selecting the arrow icons at the top and bottom of your screen
- Download the College of Nursing Writing Template.
Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the faculty will use to evaluate your submission and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus and use their time most productively.
All submissions must follow the conventions of scholarly writing. Properly formatted APA citations and references must be provided where appropriate. Submissions that do not meet these expectations will be returned without scoring.
This Assessment requires submission of one file, a completed XQ4002 Assessment. Save this file as XQ4002_firstinitial_lastname (for example, XQ4002_J_Smith).
