EB004 Pre-Assessment Submission / QUIZ / NURS 5052: (AIM) Essentials of Evidence Based Practice /EB004 Critical Appraisal, Evaluation/Summary, and Synthesis of Evidence
Module Pre-Assessments are your opportunity to practice applying module content before final submission of your Competency Assessment. Please submit the pre-assessment with proper formatting as listed in your assessment instructions. For example, if a template is provided, it should be utilized.   • Identify a clinical issue of interest that can form the basis of a clinical inquiry. (Note: You are required to focus on the same clinical issue of interest in the competencies EB002–EB006.)
  • Develop a PICOT question to address this clinical issue of interest.
  • Using the keywords from the PICOT question, search at least four different databases in the Walden Library to identify at least four relevant peer-reviewed articles at the systematic-reviews level.

  • Conduct a critical appraisal of the four peer-reviewed articles you selected by completing the Critical Appraisal Worksheet.
    1. Be sure to include an evaluation table.
Once you submit your responses, assess yourself using the rubric provided. Use your Pre-Assessment submission and any feedback you may garner to improve and refine your responses. Use the following rubric to assess your response to the prompts:
