Course Description This writing intensive course focuses on the use of scientific research as a basis for understanding and improving clinical practice. Topics include differentiation between various forms of written communication, utilizing former research to support a position and/or develop new research proposals, organizing and writing research papers, and producing visual aids for oral presentations. Emphasis in this course is on the critical review of research studies and their applications to clinical practice. An overview of evidence-based practice is provided. Prerequisite: HLT-312.
